dc.description.abstractThis study presents the first record of Martesia striata (Linnaeus, 1758) in the Mediterranean Sea. It was detected during a routine monitoring study in the Iskenderun Bay, Turkey. The potential for M. striata to establish permanent population in the Mediterranean Sea and possible risks that might arise from such a situation were briefly discussed.en_US
